Director’s Office

Arkansas State Police Administrative Headquarters

The Director of the Arkansas State Police is appointed by the Governor and holds the rank of Colonel.  Ultimately, it is the director who bears the responsibility for all department operations.

Under the immediate command of the director is the department's deputy director who holds the rank of lieutenant colonel and serves as a chief administrative officer, supervising the State Police Fiscal Office, Executive Protection Section, and the support services assigned to the Director's Office.

Together the director and deputy director form the upper echelon of the department's senior command staff which includes the five division commanders with offices located in the department's Little Rock administrative headquarters.
