THREE STATE POLICE PROMOTIONS APPROVED BY COMMISSION

(LITTLE ROCK) - The Arkansas State Police Commission has approved the recommendations of Colonel JR Howard, Director of the State Police, to promote two commanders to the rank of captain and promote a Trooper First Class to the rank of sergeant.
The promotions were considered today by the commissioners during a regularly scheduled meeting earlier at the department’s Little Rock headquarters.
Lieutenant Ron Stayton, 56, of Pine Bluff was promoted to the rank of captain and will be assigned to command duties to lead the department’s Crimes Against Children Division.
Captain Stayton has most recently served as commander of State Police Criminal Investigation Division, Company B headquartered at Pine Bluff. Captain Stayton is a twenty-seven year veteran of the department.
Lieutenant Jackie Clark, 51, of Wynne, was promoted to the rank of captain and will be assigned as commander of Arkansas State Police Highway Patrol, Troop D headquartered at Forrest City.
Captain Clark is a twenty-four year veteran of the department and most recently has held the position as Troop D, acting commander.
Trooper First Class Alex Krneta, 27, of Crossett, was promoted to the rank of sergeant and will be assigned to a post supervisory position in Highway Patrol, Troop F, headquartered at Warren.
Sergeant Krenta, is a six year veteran of the department.
