STATE TROOPERS AMONG THOSE HONORED AT AG LAW ENFORCEMENT SUMMITOctober 05, 2016
Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge honored more than seventy law enforcement officers today for their service within the past. The awards were presented at the 14th Annual Law Enforcement Summit at Camp Robinson where approximately 600 law enforcement officers from across Arkansas were in attendance.
Among those receiving special recognition was Arkansas State Trooper Dallas Taylor who was awarded top southeast region officer of the year. Trooper Taylor is assigned to Prairie County.
Other Arkansas State Troopers recognized by Attorney General Rutledge as county award winners were Corporal Jeff Plouch (Saline County), Corporal David Small (Baxter County), Special Agent Wendall Jines (Sharp County), Corporal Dennis Simons (Stone County), Corporal Tony Bowman (White County), Trooper Caleb Pevehouse (Drew County), and Trooper Rodney Davenport (Monroe County).
Rutledge concluded the summit by moderating a law enforcement leadership panel. Panelists included Matthew Barden, Drug Enforcement Administration assistant special agent in charge, Little Rock District Office; Col. Bill Bryant, Arkansas State Police director; Jeff Crow, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission director; Scott Montgomery, Perry County sheriff; Diane Upchurch, FBI special agent in charge, Little Rock Division; and Chief J.R. Wilson, Hope Police Department.
