PROMOTIONS APPROVED BY STATE POLICE COMMISSION IN TWO SUPERVISORY POSITIONS

  Arkansas State Police Sergeant Bobby Brown, 50, of Pulaski County, was promoted today to the rank of lieutenant.  He will undertake new duties effective immediately as assistant commander of Highway Patrol Division, Troop A.

  The recommendation for promotion was presented to the Arkansas State Police Commission by Colonel Bill Bryant, state police director.

  Lieutenant Brown is a 24 year veteran of the department and most recently served in the capacity as a Troop A post supervisor.

  Trooper First Class Levi Fleming, 29, of Monroe County, was also recommended for promotion.  The commissioners approved the promotion to the rank of sergeant.

  Sergeant Fleming is a 6 year veteran of the department and will now supervise a Highway Patrol Division, Troop D, post.
